29,7 km

You leave Monforte de Lemos through the medieval bridge over the River Cabe towards the municipalities of Pantón and O Saviñao, this is shorter than the previous section but also very rewarding.

The route goes through areas of green pastures, with small villages around Romanesque churches to then move into an area of “carballeiras”, Galician oak groves.

The descent towards the Miño is spectacular. You have to go down Cóbados de Belesar, the name designates the village and the dam. You will be following the remains of a Roman road. You will cross the river and start climbing towards Chantada where there are several wineried of the Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin. You will access the town through the Convent and a porticoed street, a reminder of the high status of its inhabitants in the past.

“You should go on a catamaran tour in Belesar, and also up the “codos”, the old Roman road, to visit the winery Vía Romana. In Líncora, if you do the Camino in September, there is a festival for the Virgen de la Salud, which is very popular in this area. In Chantada, you can find many restaurants in the old part of town, where you can try many local delicacies and wonderful Ribeira Sacra wines".
