20 km

The typical inland landscape sometimes makes us forget that the sea is about to appear behind the mountains. You leave Olveiroa towards the dam of Castrelo and you continue climbing until you reach the spectacular views of the area with the river Xallas in the background.

5 kilometres away from the starting point, the village of Hospital is a good place to buy some provisions for the road, as there is a long walk through rural paths towards Cee. Take a left at the Fisterra / Muxía fork.

At the “cruceiro” (stone cross) of Armada you start the walk down to Cee, a small town where you can find all sorts of services.

Pilgrims cannot miss the Ézaro waterfall and the mouth of the river Xallas, a magnificent sight and one of the most wonderful attractions in the area.

They should also take a walk around Corcubión’s old town( 4km away), with its 12th-century Romanesque church, eat some nice shellfish or fish, which you can buy in the fish market and have it cooked. There is another beautiful church in Redonda, also of Romanesque style”.
