Fairway, the largest fair on the Camino de Santiago opens its doors in Santiago de Compostela. For three days, the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Galicia will gather the best professionals around the Camino de Santiago from all over the world.

Exhibitors, professional congress and activities for all audiences will meet for three days in which THE POST OFFICE will be very present, highlighting services with which we want to make the Camino more bearable for any pilgrim.

Music, photography, gastronomy, storytelling, contests...Everything has a place in this second edition of the Fairway, which invites everyone (entrance is free!). So you don't miss anything, here is a complete guide to enjoying the Camino de Santiago on the Fairway.

Camino Blanco Exhibition. Camino Atlántico. We begin our visit to Fairway on a pilgrimage. But not just on any route, but the longest one so far on the Camino de Santiago: 14,075 kilometres.

We are talking about the 1st Antarctic Pilgrimage to Santiago, made from the Spanish base of Gabriel de Castilla, which you can now relive thanks to the Camino Blanco. Camino Antártico, 62 photographs that pay homage to the Spanish scientists and military officers who became authentic pingüigrinos.

The project, launched by the Spanish Federation of Associations of Friends of the Camino de Santiago and the National Geographic Institute, will open on Sunday at 12:30 pm and will be present during the three days of Fairway..

Award ceremony of the photo contest 'The Values of the Camino in 12 Months.' The best images that reflect the values experienced on the Camino de Santiago will be the features of a small sample for visitors of the Fairway. In addition, the four winners of the contest that the Post Office and iPeregrinos convene will receive their corresponding prizes this Sunday. Everyone is invited.

Carlos Blanco and the Camino de Santiago. Fairway will start on Sunday with a lot of humour. Specifically, from Carlos Blanco, who will take the stage to recount him many experiences on the Camino de Santiago. His monologue will take place at the Palace of Congresses at 1:00 pm and admission is free until full capacity is reached.

Botanical notes on the Camino de Santiago. After your pilgrimage, check out the best photographs. Fairway shows you the heritage of the Camino de Santiago, specifically the natural aspect. This will be a presentation of the book on the botanical notes of the Camino de Santiago, from Santiago Soria, where the main species and plant formations that are located along the Camino will be revealed. The presentation will take place at 5:30 pm and admission is free until full capacity is reached.

My Camino de Santiago. School drawing contest. The Fairway program also thinks of the little ones. And that's why we launched the My Camino de Santiago school drawing contest, which has invited primary school children to reflect on what the Camino means, what Camino they would like to travel and what it is "to be a pilgrim", or what it means to live in Santiago and witness the arrival of pilgrims. On Sunday, the 12th, at 5:00 pm, the awards ceremony will take place, as well as an exhibition on the participating drawings.

The Game of the Goose of Santiago. We continue with our children's activities. During the three days of Fairway, young and old will be able to enter the Camino Francés with the Game of the Goose on the Camino de Santiago, a board with 63 squares that represent the best feature of each stage.

Music on the Camino Portugués: From Lisbon to Compostela. And how about some music? Fairway launches this training workshop, exploring the relationship between Galicia and Portugal through their music while using the Camino Portugués as a guide. The workshop will be taught by Adufeiras do Salitre and prior registration is necessary to participate.

‘In festo Sancti Jacobi – Vox Stellae’ concert. The Church of Ánimas (Casas Reais hosts Sunday the 12th, from 8:00 pm, a unique concert where some of the best compositions dedicated to Santiago from the 12th to the 18th century are shown, including music from the archives of the Galician cathedrals of Santiago de Compostela and Tui, and works by great Renaissance authors. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.

1st Dessert Contest of Santiago. We could not finish our guide without talking about gastronomy. And solidarity. Although there are several gastronomic options, we propose you participate in the 1st Dessert Contest of Santiago, organised for charity with free registration (ending on day 10) and open to all fans. The jury will award prizes for the best presentation and the best cake and, afterwards, each dessert will be cut into portions so that participants and the attending public can taste the deliciousness. The Spanish Association against Cancer will be offered for the price of 1 Euro each, with the intention of raising funds for research against cancer.

Tasting on the Camino; wine, anyone? After the cake, do you want wine? From 6:30 pm on Sunday, Fairway organises this commentated tasting to better understand the culture of the Camino de Santiago through the wines of Galicia. To participate, prior registration is required.

In addition to activities for the visiting public, Fairway holds a Congress for reflection, analysis, training and open debate around the Camino de Santiago. If you want to attend, you just have to sign up online for free.

And, of course, do not forget to visit the different Fairway exhibitors, where you can find a lot of advice, services and information that will help you on your next Camino.
